Yasuhara T981 Leica Clone Body EXCELLENT

A compact retro styled Leica thread mount rangefinder. This has many advantages over a vintage Leica including:

1. LED light meter. Thread mount Leicas have no meter. You have to buy a much later "M" Leica such as an M-6 to get an in-camera meter. Used these are over $3000.00.

2. Focal-Plane metal shutter. If you leave a Leica lens uncovered in bright sun there's a good chance you'll burn a hole through your cloth shutter.

3. The back swings open for super-easy film loading. Loading a vintage Leica requires you to trim the film and are notoriously difficult to load.

These were only made until 2004 with approximately 4,000 being produced.

This one is in excellent shape displaying almost no wear. Lens is not included.
