Rolleiflex 2.8C w/Schneider 80mm f/2.8 Xenotar EXCELLENT

Absolutely gorgeous Rolleiflex 2.8C! Camera shows almost no signs of use. The leather and paint look great. The lens is very clean.

Speeds sound accurate. We just replaced the focus screen with a Brightscreen which is about 4x brighter than the original making this a joy to use.

Comes with original mirror caps and leather case (case is missing the strap).

The Rolleiflex 2.8C is an awesome classic twin-lens reflex camera.

It is fairly compact and light weight for a medium-format camera. The viewfinder framing actually adjusts for parallax error when focused (usually a problem when your taking lens is not the viewing lens).

Speeds go from 1-sec. To 1/500th, and B. The camera is equipped with a self-timer.

The taking lens is either an f/2.8 Schneider Xenotar or Zeiss Planar 80mm. This is a “normal lens” and great for all-around shooting. As this is a leaf-shutter camera there is no mirror vibration so it is easy to hold steady for slower speeds.

The 2.8C does not have a built-in light meter. Many modern users believe this is a plus as the metered models had selenium light meters that weren’t meant to last 50+ years and are mostly not working.
Even when they did their accuracy was questionable.

The Rolleiflex is a great system camera with lots of accessories you can buy including a panorama head, stereo 3d head, waterproof case, filters, etc. There are even a telephoto and wide angle lens attachments.
