The Nikon FM is a light weight and fairly compact mechanical camera. It is an all-manual camera and has no automatic modes, making it a classic experience to use. It has a bright LED metering system that is easy to see even in bright light.
It will accept an MD-12 motor winder.
The Shutter speeds are all mechanical and the camera needs no battery to operate ( the meter is unusable with no battery of course). It is a very tough and reliable camera.
Flash synch is a 1/125th second.
It uses F-mount AI, AIS and AF Nikkor mount lenses.
Top shutter speed is 1/1000 second. Flash synch is a 1/125th.
