Rollei 35 w/40mm f/3.5 Tessar, MR-9 Battery Adapter, EXCELLENT

Classic 35mm compact camera with an amazing Tessar lens.

This is one of our favorite carry-everywhere cameras. It is a scale-focus camera with a collapsible lens.

The only issue is that they were designed to use mercury PX-13 1.35V batteries. These have been discontinued for 20 years. A modern 1.5 v PX625 battery will fit, but as the voltage is wrong it won't render accurate meter readings.

We have installed an MR-9 battery adapter ($50 option) that allows you to use 1.5v ones as it has a transformer built-in that steps the voltage down to the correct 1.35v. Problem solved!

The meter is now accurate, speeds are good. Camera comes with a wrist strap.

Hard to find one in this condition!
