Leica IIIG (1056) w/Leitz 50mm f/2 Summicron EXCELLENT

Very clean IIIG! Body shows almost no signs of use.

The rangefinder is bright and in alignment for easy focus. Speeds sound accurate; 1-second may be a bit slow.

The 50mm Summicron is also in nice condition. Focus is smooth.

The Leica IIIG is the final and best thread-mount camera. It was made from 1956-1960. It is very compact for the era.

There are two side-by-side viewfinders; the left one for focus and right one for framing the shot.

The focus side has a diopter level that adjusts it to your particular eyesight making it easier to focus. The framing side shows the field of view for a 50mm lens.

The finder is parallax corrected and shows both the 50mm and 90mm frames.

Exterior shoe mounted finders can b added for different focal lengths.

The camera has a built-in self-timer.

Shutter speeds run from 1-Sec. to 1/1000th, B and T. Speeds under 1/60th are set by a small dial on the front of the body.
