This is an unusual lens! It is a Linhof Select version. Linhof would go to the lens factories and cherry pick only the best optics to earn the logo.
This lens has a huge image circle of 402mm so will easily cover 8x10 with lots of movements (8x10 only requires 323mm).
This is a dual-purpose lens; use it with both the front and rear elements for a 300mm f/5.6. This is a "normal" lens for 8x10.
If you remove the front element is becomes a 500mm f/12 telephoto.
The shutter on this one is also rare. It is a Compur-Electronic 3. This is a battery-operated shutter. The advantage is that instead of the slowest speed 1-second (or B), this one goes all the way down to 32 seconds!
Also, because it is electronic instead of having a mechanical shutter escapement there is no vibration that is always present with mechanical shutters.
Condition is GOOD. Th lens has some Schneider-itus which is white spots on the edges of the glass where it is cemented to the lens barrel. This is purely cosmetic and has no effect on the image quality as it is way outside of the image circle.
Lens comes mounted in a Linhof Technika-style lens board.
