Very nice example of the iconic Gray T Rollei!
This one was just serviced. Speeds sound accurate, glass is clean.
This one has a Bite Screen installed. This is 2X brighter than a standard screen making this a joy to use.
Lighter in weight than many Rolleiflex TLR's. Many feel that the Tessar is the best lens that was offered.
The Rolleiflex T is a well-built and easy to use medium format camera.
The viewfinder framing actually adjusts for parallax error when focused (usually a problem when your taking lens is not the viewing lens).
Speeds go from 1-sec. To 1/500th, and B. The camera is equipped with a self-timer.
The taking lens is a 75mm f/3.5 Zeiss Tessar (hence the “T” label. This is a “normal lens” and great for all-around shooting. As this is a leaf-shutter camera there is no mirror vibration so it is easy to hold steady for slower speeds.
There is no built-in meter. This is actually an advantage at this point as the selenium-powered meters other models had are mostly not working at this time. They were designed to last 30 years or so; this is a 65+ year old camera.
The Rolleiflex is a great system camera with lots of accessories you can buy including a panorama head, stereo 3d head, waterproof case, filters, etc. There is even a telephoto and wide angle lens attachment.
