Karl, the man behind Bay Area Camera Repair, has been working collaboratively with Seawood since 1999, and his career in camera repair stretches back even further. Over the years, he’s serviced thousands of cameras, earning a reputation for careful workmanship and honest evaluations.

Karl repairs most mass-produced film cameras, including models from Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Leica, Hasselblad, Rolleiflex, and many other manufacturers. He’s skilled in servicing 35mm, medium format, and large format cameras and lenses. Whether your camera needs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, or a more involved repair, he’ll assess its condition and discuss the best course of action for proper camera servicing. In addition to film camera repairs, Karl offers digital sensor cleaning.
